Region 3 Ohio History Day Competition

Congratulations to Jacob Good of Shaker Heights High School, recipient of the Baseball Heritage Museum Special Prize for 2016.  The prize is given for the best baseball- related project at the annual Region 3 Ohio History Day Competition.

 Good’s presentation was “Moe Berg: An International Man of Mystery” in the Senior Individual Documentary category.  Good told the story of the catcher who was a spy with insights into his baseball and espionage careers.

 Berg played Major League Baseball from 1923 to 1939 including two stints with the Cleveland Indians (1931 and 1934) when Cleveland’s home games were played at League Park.
