Speaking for League Park: Cleveland’s “Magnificent Seven” Cleveland Negro Leaguers to the Majors

This presentation will discuss the impact and influence of Negro League Baseball had on economic, social and family life in Cleveland between the 1920s and the 1950s. It will also highlight the seven men who made the transition to Major League baseball from the Negro League teams representing Cleveland between 1922 and 1950. Presented by Isaac (Ike) Brooks, the program is free and open to the public and is made possible, in part, by a grant from Cuyahoga Arts and Culture (CAC)
