Pleibol! Latinos and African Americans Breaking the Color Barrier in America’s Favorite Pastime.

Pleibol! is a collaborative event between Julia De Burgos Cultural Arts Center and the Baseball Heritage Museum with support from the City of Cleveland, Cleveland City Council, The Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Public Library, AARP, The Smithsonian Institution and other corporate and other business stake holders. This event will take place over a three day period at Cleveland’s Historic League Park located in the Hough neighborhood and will consist of a private dinner reception with guest speakers and two days of softball games open to the community.

Friday
VIP Meet and Greet 6:00pm to 6:30pm

Dinner: 6:00pm to 7:00pm

Program: 7:00pm to 8:00pm

Tour of Facility and Park: 8:00pm to 9:00pm

Saturday
Youth Clinics (with guest players) 9:00 am to 11:30 am

Community Games 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Sunday
Community Games 9 am to 6 pm

Guest players scheduled to appear are former Major League players Jim ” Mudcat Grant”, Joe Azcue and Vern Fuller.
