Exhibits

Experience the stories, photographs, letters, programs, uniforms and other game-used treasured memorabilia detailing the important contributions from the Latin and Caribbean leagues, the Industrial and Barnstormer leagues and the Negro and Women’s leagues that helped shape the history of the great American pastime.

Preservation

The Museum is committed to increasing accessibility to its collection while preserving the stories the artifacts tell. We do this using a variety of vehicles for preservation that go beyond the exhibits that you see on display.  Using state of the art digital scanning technologies continual efforts are in place to preserve baseball history and to grow our digital presence. In October 2019 the focus was on digitizing a rare collection of images from the Sandlot Era (late 1940’s through the 1950’s)taken in the Metropolitan, Washington D.C. area. The range of images include teams sponsored by the Metropolitan Police Department, Washington Royals, and a host of other recreational sandlot teams.
