Baseball Art as the Game’s Storyteller

The Baseball Heritage Museum is proud to present the baseball art exhibition, “Baseball Art as the Game’s Storyteller.” The exhibition features some of the best baseball art in the United States and Canada. 

These artists and their extraordinary work represent an idea that we are in the middle of another “golden age” of baseball art, where creative artists are drawn to mystic and magic of baseball lore.  

Contemporary artists featured here include Derek Christianson, Brad Davis, Phillip Dewey, Jennifer Ettinger, Sean Kane, Eric Kittelberger, Bob Krieger, Michael Lewis, Joaquin Newman, Sergio Santos, Damian Schaab and Scott Schulman. 

Each artist has created incredible pieces that tell a story of baseball and its exciting players, working in mediums from acrylic to watercolor, to digital and mixed media. We are very fortunate to have their talent on display for you this summer.

We hope that this experience provides you with an opportunity to expand your horizons and explore nuances in the humanities where you will find inspiration and serenity, if not discover food for conversation and meetings of like minds.

This exhibit is produced and curated by baseball art historian Anthony Salazar, a Seattle-based member of the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR).

Baseball Art as the Game’s Storyteller runs from July 27th to September 30th at the historic Arcade Cleveland, 401 Euclid Avenue, downtown Cleveland, and is sponsored by the Baseball Heritage Museum.
