Event Details

Writer Cam Perron, whose commitment to the Negro Leagues belies his age, talks about this work on behalf of its players

Cam Perron, author of “Comeback Season,” wouldn’t be the first person you thought of to fight for recognition and MLB pensions for Negro Leaguers. First he’s too young; second, perhaps more to the point, he’s too, well, white. Yet his passion for “black baseball” is colorblind; He saw injustice and campaigned to fix it. He’s had plenty of success at it.

Tune in to “Talking Baseball!” and hear Perron talk about his book and about how, as a teen in Boston, he orchestrated a campaign that brought him high-fives for his selfless work to help black ballplayers.
