Pitch Hit & Run is the official youth skills competition of Major League Baseball. Pitch Hit & Run is a FREE  program that provides boys and girls ages 7 to 14* the opportunity to showcase their pitching, hitting and running abilities. Relaying America's Favorite Pastime through the streets of Cleveland. First Pitch of Summer, presented by  Greater Cleveland Sports Commision and co-hosted by Progressive and KeyBank, celebrates Cleveland’s rich baseball heritage with 1,000+ community kids "pitching" a baseball from the historic League Park to the modern Progressive Field. The baseball will travel 3.1-miles, tossed from one person to the next, to become the ball used for the first pitch in the Cleveland Indians vs. New York Yankees game on June 8.…

1995 Cleveland Indians: the Sleeping Giant Awakes

We are once again  partnering with Lakeview Cemetery on a tour of the cemetery from a baseball perspective. Jared Ward, a Ph.D. candidate and Associate Lecturer in the Department of History at the University of Akron, leads this tour of Lake View Cemetery’s baseball legends.
