I enjoyed Mr. Barra talk on Japanses baseball, the culture of the fans over there and the way they cheer for their players and their love for their mascots.
I wish he could of talked a little about when baseball was introduced to Japan . (1872) and how barnstorming in 1920 and on helped the Japanses get interested in the sport.
1934 Babe Ruth played a number of games with a group of major league greats Gehrig, Lefy Gomez and others in Japan during their barnstorming tour how Babe hit a number of home runs.
I been to the museum a number of times when it was located in the old arcade in downtown Cleveland, Brad Sullivan worked and I enjoyed his knowledge of the game, and the events they had there And I meet Vern Fuller and others. Great artifacts and a great display of history African and Hispanics players. (Roberto Clemente). Have not made it to league Park but will soon. Love this museum.
